In the second instalment of how the staff at Underscar - Lake District Luxury Cottages explore the Lake District, we are going to take a look at how Finance manager Gill Stubbs would explore the Lake District National Park.
Something for everyone to do, whatever age, especially the walking and water sports.
Take the ferry from Bowness over to Sawrey and walk along the side of the lake, especially good if you take a picnic.
There are so many but I love visiting Theatre by the Lake at Keswick. They have a fantastic professional season of plays plus exhibitions and talks or you can just pop into their café for a snack before ambling down to Derwentwater
A boat trip on one of the Lakes, my favourite being on the Gondola at Coniston.
From the top of Gummer’s How.
From there you can look all the way up Lake Windermere and the surrounding fells and to the left you can look out over Morecambe Bay, stunning!
If you feel you would like to explore and enjoy the Lake District then take a look at one of our 25 perfectly placed Holiday Cottages in the Lake District National Park from which to explore the Largest UNESCO World Heritage site in the UK. Underscar will be sure to have something for you.
